JK Beauty Global

JK Beauty Global

Beauty Expo Australia recently sat down with CEO and Clinical Educator of JK Beauty Global, Gina Park, to discuss the Korean beauty trend currently sweeping the industry. Hear Gina's thoughts about the emerging trends and why K-Beauty continues to influence global skincare trends!

For those who may not be familiar with the company, can you tell us about JK Beauty Global, the brands you represent, and your mission within the Australian beauty and aesthetics industry?

As a Korean dermal therapist with more than 30 years of hands-on experience, I've seen firsthand that great skincare is never just about the products themselves. It's about understanding skin, building trust with clients, and choosing treatments that consistently deliver real results.

For many years, I've owned and operated Skin&Light; Clinic in Melbourne, where I still work closely with clients every week. I also run Kbeautycell, an online store specialising in Korean skincare.

Working in both the clinic and retail space has given me a clear understanding of what Australian clients and beauty professionals are really looking for.

Throughout my career, I've watched the Korean beauty industry evolve at an incredible pace. Every year brings new technologies, ingredients and treatment concepts, yet I often felt that many outstanding professional Korean brands never reached Australian clinics - or if they did, they weren't supported with the education and practical guidance clinics needed.

That was the reason I founded JK Beauty Global. My goal has never been to simply import another Korean skincare brand. I wanted to introduce products that I genuinely believe in - products I've personally tested in my own clinic and feel confident using on my own clients.

Our flagship professional skincare brand is RENODERM PROFESSIONAL, a Korean company established in 1997. For nearly three decades, RENODERM has specialised in developing professional skincare for dermatology clinics and aesthetic practices. Today, the brand is trusted throughout Korea and exported to more than 180 countries worldwide.

What impressed me most wasn't only the quality of the products. It was the philosophy behind the brand. RENODERM focuses on restoring healthy skin, supporting long-term skin health and providing treatment programs that clinics can confidently incorporate into everyday practice.

Looking ahead, I want JK Beauty Global to become more than a distributor. I want us to be a trusted partner for Australian clinics by providing carefully selected Korean professional skincare, practical education, ongoing clinical support and real business knowledge gained from years of running my own clinic. If our partners grow, then I believe we've achieved our goal.

How has JK Beauty Global evolved over the past year, and what continues to inspire your team as you bring  Korean beauty innovation to the Australian market?

The past year has been incredibly rewarding, but also one of the busiest periods since starting JK Beauty Global.

Because I still work in my own clinic every week, I see firsthand how quickly client expectations are changing. More Australians are interested in Korean skincare than ever before, yet I also realised that many professional Korean treatment programs still aren't readily available here.

Rather than simply searching for popular products, I spent the past year travelling to Korea, meeting manufacturers, visiting production facilities, and carefully selecting brands that share my values as a clinician.

Before deciding to distribute any product, I always test it in my own clinic. If I wouldn't confidently use it on my own clients, I won't introduce it to anyone else's.

We've also completed AICIS registration for our skincare products and are currently progressing TGA approval for professional laser devices as part of our long-term vision.

Another highlight was exhibiting at Beauty Expo Australia last year with RENODERM PROFESSIONAL for the first time. We honestly didn't expect the level of interest we received. It confirmed that Australian clinics are genuinely looking for professional Korean skincare that's supported by practical education rather than simply another product catalogue.

What continues to inspire our team is seeing Australian therapists become excited about Korean professional skincare and discovering new ways to achieve better outcomes for their clients. That experience gave me even more confidence that we're moving in the right direction.

JK Beauty Global offers a wide range of professional and retail skincare solutions. Is there a standout product or brand in your portfolio that you feel deserves more attention from beauty professionals and consumers alike?

Without hesitation, I'd say RENODERM PROFESSIONAL.

This year we'll be introducing two of our signature professional programs - WHITOX Bio Microneedling and the Recovery Program.

WHITOX has been developed using one million freeze-dried marine spicules combined with carefully selected active ingredients, including Arbutin. Unlike traditional systems that require separate mixing, it's supplied in a convenient single-use format, making treatments more hygienic, more consistent and much easier to perform.

As more clients present with sensitive skin, I believe safety has become just as important as results. WHITOX was designed to minimise redness and irritation while still delivering excellent skin renewal. I've seen particularly good outcomes for skin rejuvenation, acne-prone skin and improving overall skin texture.

The Recovery Program is another favourite of mine because I believe every laser or peeling treatment should be followed by proper skin recovery.

Rather than ending the client journey after one treatment, Recovery helps clinics create ongoing treatment plans while supporting skin barrier repair and reducing post-treatment sensitivity.

I'm equally excited about RENODERM's homecare range.

Products like Marine Mist, Radiance Cream and Daylong BB Glow Cushion have become favourites in my clinic.

Radiance Cream contains triple hyaluronic acid and royal jelly for intensive hydration and skin nourishment.

Daylong BB Glow Cushion is one of Korea's best-selling BB products, available through duty-free stores and major department stores. It's also widely used in dermatology and aesthetic clinics after laser and peeling treatments to calm the skin while providing beautiful, natural coverage.

It's one of those products that clients try once - and very often come back to purchase.

Korean beauty continues to influence global skincare trends. What emerging trends are you most excited about, and how is JK Beauty Global helping clinics and therapists stay ahead of the curve?

I think there's still a common misconception that Korean beauty is all about cosmetic surgery.

In reality, that's no longer the direction the industry is taking.

Today's Korean beauty is much more focused on restoring healthy skin rather than changing someone's appearance.

People want healthier skin, stronger skin barriers and natural-looking results that last over time.

They're also looking for treatments with minimal downtime, allowing them to return to everyday life quickly while still achieving visible improvements.

That's why we're seeing such rapid growth in skin boosters, regenerative treatments and recovery-focused skincare programs throughout Korea.

Personally, I find this shift very exciting because it reflects exactly how I've always approached skincare.

Good skin isn't created overnight.

It's built through consistent professional treatments, appropriate homecare and maintaining healthy skin over the long term.

At JK Beauty Global, we help clinics stay ahead of these trends by introducing carefully selected Korean professional programs, providing practical treatment protocols and offering ongoing education and clinical support. This allows therapists to adopt new treatment concepts with greater confidence and apply them safely and effectively in their own clinics.

I believe this philosophy will continue shaping the future of aesthetic skincare - not only in Korea, but globally - and it's one of the main reasons I chose to introduce RENODERM PROFESSIONAL to Australia.

With so much skincare information available online, what is one skincare habit, treatment approach, or professional  recommendation that you believe is still widely underestimated?

I believe skin recovery is still one of the most underestimated parts of professional skincare.

Many people focus on the treatment itself - whether it's a laser, chemical peel or skin needling - but they often overlook what happens afterwards.

In my experience, the recovery phase plays a huge role in determining the final outcome. When the skin barrier isn't properly supported, clients are more likely to experience prolonged redness, sensitivity and dehydration, and the treatment results may not reach their full potential.

That's why I've always believed that post-treatment care deserves just as much attention as the treatment itself.

The same philosophy applies to homecare.

Professional treatments don't end when clients leave the clinic. The products they use at home have a significant impact on how well their skin continues to recover and improve.

This is exactly why I value RENODERM's Recovery Program. It helps clinics extend treatment results while giving clients ongoing support between appointments.

Education is a key part of industry success. How do you ensure your training programs remain practical, relevant, and aligned with the latest advancements in skincare and aesthetic treatments?

Everything we teach is based on real clinical experience.

Our education isn't developed in a classroom - it's developed in the treatment room.

Every protocol we share has been tested in our own clinic by therapists who use these products every day with real clients.

Beyond treatment techniques, we also teach consultation skills, treatment planning, homecare recommendations and ways to build long-term client relationships.

One of our goals is to help therapists feel more confident, not only performing treatments but also explaining why they work and how to create ongoing treatment plans.

We also regularly update our training in collaboration with our Korean manufacturers, ensuring that our protocols reflect new product developments, treatment techniques and changes within the professional skincare industry.

We're also working closely with our Korean partners to provide online education, allowing Australian clinics to continue learning directly from the manufacturer.

Following the online training, we plan to offer practical workshops, with certificates issued to participants who complete the program.

For us, education isn't about selling products.

It's about giving clinics the confidence to achieve consistent results.

You work closely with salons, clinics, and skin professionals. How do you stay connected to their changing needs and ensure you're delivering the right products, tools, and support?

One advantage I have is that I still work in my own clinic every week.

I'm not sitting behind a desk making decisions based on reports or market trends alone. I continue to treat clients, work alongside my therapists and experience the same challenges that other clinic owners face every day.

That allows me to see how client expectations are changing, what treatments people are asking for, and what clinics genuinely need to grow.

Because of that, I don't choose products simply because they're popular in Korea. I choose products, devices and treatment systems that work in a real clinic environment and fit the needs of Australian clients.

At JK Beauty Global, we also believe that supplying products is only one part of the journey. We support our clinic partners with treatment protocols, consultation techniques, retail strategies, homecare recommendations and practical ways to build long-term treatment programs that encourage client retention.

Having spent many years running my own business, I understand that success isn't just about delivering good skin results. It's about creating sustainable systems that help clinics continue to grow.

What new initiatives, resources, product launches, or educational opportunities are you introducing in 2026 to help beauty professionals grow their businesses?

2026 is going to be an exciting year for JK Beauty Global.

We'll be expanding our range of professional skincare through RENODERM PROFESSIONAL, including the WHITOX Bio Microneedling Program, the Recovery Program and a complete homecare collection.

We're also introducing practical beauty devices that clinics use every day, including Hydro Peeling systems and Cryo devices for post-treatment recovery.

In addition, we're currently progressing TGA approval for professional Korean laser systems, intending to offer Australian clinics complete aesthetic solutions rather than individual products.

Education will continue to be one of our biggest priorities.

Our training will be delivered by experienced therapists from Skin&Light Clinic, sharing practical knowledge gained through everyday clinical practice.

We'll also launch online education in collaboration with our Korean partners, followed by hands-on workshops where participants can further develop their skills and receive a certificate upon completion.

Ultimately, my goal isn't simply to sell products or equipment.

I want to help clinics introduce new treatments with confidence, achieve better client outcomes and build stronger, more successful businesses.

What can visitors expect from the JK Beauty Global stand at this year's Beauty Expo Australia, and what are the must-see products, demonstrations, or experiences?

This year, we want visitors to experience more than just products - we want them to experience how our programs can be integrated into everyday clinical practice.

We'll be showcasing RENODERM PROFESSIONAL's signature WHITOX Bio Microneedling Program and Recovery Program, along with the complete professional skincare range, from cleansers through to masks.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the products firsthand, experience their textures and formulations, and discuss how they can be incorporated into different treatment programs.

We'll also be introducing our homecare collection, and I'd especially encourage visitors to take a closer look at Marine Mist, Radiance Cream and Daylong BB Glow Cushion.

Daylong BB Glow Cushion is one of Korea's best-selling BB products. It's available through duty-free stores and major department stores, and it's also widely used in dermatology clinics after laser and peeling treatments to help calm the skin while providing natural-looking coverage.

Rather than live demonstrations, we'll be showing educational treatment videos throughout the Expo, allowing visitors to better understand how each program works in a clinical setting.

Most importantly, our team will be available to answer questions, discuss individual clinic needs and share practical ideas on how these programs can be successfully introduced into everyday practice.

I hope everyone who visits our stand leaves with not only new products to discover, but also new ideas they can take back to their own clinic.

What are the biggest conversations you hope to have with beauty professionals during the Expo?

More than anything, I'd like to hear what Australian beauty professionals really think about Korean professional skincare.

K-Beauty has become incredibly popular with consumers, but I'm interested in understanding how clinic owners and therapists see it from a professional perspective.

  • What challenges are they facing?
  • What treatments are their clients asking for?
  • What kind of education and support do they expect from a supplier?
  • And what would make them feel confident introducing Korean professional skincare into their own clinics?

Those conversations are incredibly valuable to me.

I don't believe the best partnerships begin with selling products.

They begin by listening.

The more we understand the needs of Australian clinics, the better we can introduce products, education and business support that genuinely make a difference.

What's next for JK Beauty Global, and what does success look like for the company over the next few years?

One of my biggest goals is to establish a professional training academy here in Australia.

I'd love to create a place where therapists can continue learning, build confidence and develop practical skills that they can immediately apply in their own clinics.

Beyond clinical education, I also want to support therapists and clinic owners who are passionate about the industry but feel overwhelmed by the business side of running a clinic.

Having built my own clinic over many years, I understand how challenging that journey can be.

I'd like to help others with everything from selecting treatments and equipment to developing treatment menus, building retail strategies and creating sustainable business systems.

For me, success has never been measured by how many products we sell.

Success is seeing our partners grow stronger, become more confident and build successful businesses of their own.

If they succeed, then I believe we've succeeded too.

For beauty professionals who are curious about introducing more Korean skincare and aesthetic solutions into their businesses, what advice would you offer them?

My advice would be to look beyond what's trending.

Instead of choosing products simply because they're popular, choose products that are backed by real clinical results, supported by proper education and suited to your own clients.

The relationship you have with your supplier is just as important as the products themselves.

A good supplier should offer more than products. They should provide training, ongoing support and practical guidance whenever you need it.

I'd also encourage clinics to start small.

Introduce one program, take the time to understand it, build confidence with your team and listen carefully to your clients' feedback before expanding further.

The same principle applies to aesthetic devices and professional treatment systems: clinics should consider safety, regulatory compliance, training and after-sales support before making a decision.

Korean skincare has so much to offer, and I believe we're only just beginning to see its potential in Australia.

I'm excited to be part of that journey, and I look forward to helping more Australian clinics discover what professional Korean skincare can truly achieve.
